EFFORT Racing Adds New Driver to Lineup for Mosport

Bryce Miller will join as a member of the EFFORT Racing team for the upcoming rounds of the IMSA GT3 Cup Challenge by Yokohama

In preparation for the transition Bryce (2011 IMSA Laguna Seca race winner) participated with the team in testing at MSR Houston and a recent Porsche Club of America (PCA) event July 5-8 at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park.

Miller, currently 5th in the standings after seven rounds, has showed great speed and talent in the IMSA Challenge series thus far.  Teaming up with EFFORT Racing was a decision with obvious benefits, both for Bryce and the team.  Having two drivers under the EFFORT livery will allow them to work together to break the logjam at the top of the points standings.

The decision was solidified after seeing how well Miller meshed with the team and all of its values and goals.

“We should have teamed up earlier,” Michael Mills driver #41 added.  “It’s an obvious fit that could have helped us both run stronger this entire season as we really push each other to perform at our best.”

When asked about the mid-season switch to EFFORT Racing, Miller replied, “I am really happy to have this opportunity as I had thought my season had come to a close.  When I got a phone call from Michael and the team things really turned around and I got on a plane for Houston.  We had a very successful test session together and I am massively excited to get back in the car again for this upcoming IMSA event.  I am confident that Michael and I working together with their team of highly skilled engineers will allow us to be even more competitive than we have been in the previous race weekends.”

Team engineer, Hunter Wright had the significant job of integrating the new car and driver into his preparation sequence for MoSport.  He achieved the goal and is excited to work with both drivers during the upcoming rounds of the series.

Team principal, Emile Toups stated that , “EFFORT Racing is proud to have our newest member, Bryce Miller, and we are very excited about what he brings to the team.  Along with being a very fast driver he is a quality young man.  His involvement helps further the goals of EFFORT Racing to develop a world class organization, it is an exciting transition and we look forward to his future success working alongside Hunter and Michael.

Together, Mills and Miller will be a formidable force in the IMSA Challenge series.  Mills’ experience and expertise joined with Miller’s speed and raw talent will push themselves, and the team to achieve our goals for this year.”
